2025 One World Gala & Global Trivia Competition

The World Affairs Council is excited to host you for our 12th Annual Gala, our most popular annual fundraiser! Join us on April 11, 2025 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at a beautiful venue in Clifton for the 12th One World Gala & Global Trivia Competition.

Giving at any level matters! As our organization’s vital annual fundraiser, we strive to connect our community with the full potential of embracing a truly global perspective and community building activity. The World Affairs Council is Greater Cincinnati’s focal point for international education, interaction, and connection. We help our region to compete in the global arena and prepare our young people for success through an appreciation of global fellowship and cultural diversity in the classroom and in the workplace. The Gala promises to be the most exciting event of the century – and an evening of fun and global connections that showcases our beloved City’s global sparkle! The Global Trivia Game will be the highlight of the evening! The top teams will win valuable prizes from some of Cincinnati's most popular restaurants and businesses.

There are single tickets available at two price points. If you sign up with less than 10 people, you will be assigned a trivia team to play with and/or people will join your table for the evening. Your last day to purchase tickets is March 28, 2025.

The top 3 teams (up to 10 players) will each receive a special prize. Of course, this includes the most important prize of all – bragging rights! Supporting this event shows your commitment to preparing students to be globally competent in the 21st century global environment. For more than 100 years, the World Affairs Council has been committed to providing public school students with access to global learning opportunities.

Meet Your Emcee: Michelle Hopkins, WCPO 9

We are delighted to announce Michelle Hopkins as our Emcee –THE Master of Ceremonies– for our One World Gala!

Michelle Hopkins is a passionate storyteller and community advocate, celebrated for her ability to bring people together through her dynamic presence and thoughtful insights. As a trusted voice at WCPO 9 and a champion for unity and inclusion, Michelle has dedicated her career to fostering connections across diverse cultures and backgrounds.

In addition to her role in journalism, Michelle serves as a leader with the Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, where she drives initiatives that empower women and create systemic change. Her work reflects her deep commitment to building a more equitable, compassionate, and connected global community.

As the emcee for the 2025 World Affairs Gala, Michelle brings her signature warmth and professionalism to this landmark event, guiding conversations that celebrate the region’s role in shaping international dialogue and innovation.
